• The School Student Transport Scheme provides eligible students with free or subsidised travel on public transport between home and school.

• The School Drive Subsidy is available in areas with limited or no public transport. The subsidy partly offsets the cost of using a private vehicle to drive the eligible student all or part of the way to school.

Driving and parking around Sandon Public School

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

A Road Safety Officer is on duty at the front of the school from 8:30am - 9:30am and from 2:30pm to 3:30pm. Students are required to cross the road at the designated crossing area on Erskine Street with the assistance of the Road Safety Officer.

Please Note: The school grounds are not accessable for parents and please do not collect children from the bus bay area as this is exclusively for the use of local school buses and taxi drop off and collecting students with special needs.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones
• follow speed signs
• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
