Our extra-curricular highlights
Sporting opportunities
Our school offers a range of sporting opportunities for students of all skill levels. Students can join PSSA knockout teams to compete against other schools and challenge themselves. We also have in-school programs focused on building skills and staying active. Later on, students can take part in PSSA gala days, which provide a fun and social way to enjoy team sports and build school spirit.

Performing arts
Sandon offers a wide range of performing arts opportunities, including drama, music, dance, and theatre. Students can participate in school bands, choirs, dance groups, and theatrical productions, allowing them to develop their performance skills, creativity, and confidence. These programs are supported by experienced teachers and often include opportunities to showcase talent at local and state events, fostering teamwork and a passion for the performing arts.
Creative arts
Sandon provides excellent opportunities for students to develop their skills in creative arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and other visual art forms. These programs encourage students to express themselves, explore different techniques, and develop their artistic talents through hands-on experiences. Premier's Spelling Bee
We are proud to announce that one of our talented Year 4 students, Vikhiz Bharucha, will be representing our school in the state final of the Premier’s Spelling Bee. The competition will be held at the Q Theatre in Penrith, Sydney. This outstanding achievement reflects Vikhiz's dedication and excellent spelling skills. We wish her the very best as she competes among some of the brightest young spellers in New South Wales!
