Good morning all,
As you would be aware the impact of the COVID restrictions on the school continues to be a moving beast. For the start of this term the following restrictions will be in place.
1. Parents will have limited access to the school. Yes you can visit the office, but you can't come onsite to drop off and pick up your children. A member of staff will continue to be at the front gate each morning to greet students and help parents with any children who are reluctant to come in without you.
2. Of an afternoon, parents should wait at their car for their children. Do not come and congregate at the gate. You cannot come in to the school grounds and wait for your child. You may consider arriving a bit later of an afternoon to pick your children up. Remember, I'm on duty at the front gate until the last child goes home. Waiting an extra ten minutes won't upset me!!
3. Parents and community members entering the school must sign in using the QR Code. As you know this will be mandatory across the state from Monday for all businesses etc. Don't forget, you must wear a mask.
4. It is recommended that staff wear a mask when in the staffroom/office work environments. They do not need to wear one while teaching. This advice is different for Sydney schools. Teachers have to wear a mask in all settings.
5. Students do not need to wear a mask. For rural schools it is only recommended for students in high school, but again not mandatory.
6. At this stage the zone athletics carnival and excursions that are in our Local Government Area can continue.
