Once again I would ask that all parents/carers are vigilant in ensuring their child and other children are safe at our very busy morning and afternoon times at our school. Parking is scarce outside and this does mean that many of you need to walk a short distance to collect your child safely. I would also ask that parents/carers observe the parking signs.
NOTE: there is NO PARKING for parents INSIDE THE SCHOOL GROUNDS. Parents of students with physical disabilities have EXCLUSIVE USE of the turning circle inside the school grounds before and after school. The turning circle is not to be used by parents other than those whose child has a disability. Parents called to school during the day to collect a sick child may use the turning circle.
There is also NO PARKING for parents in the BUS BAY. Collecting your child from the bus bay area is strongly discouraged. Parents are asked to PLEASE MEET YOUR CHILD AT THE FRONT GATE if bringing your child to and collecting your child from school.
We also ask that parents/carers
- ensure you DO NOT WALK YOUR CHILDREN THROUGH THE TEACHER CAR PARK AND GATEWAY when bringing or collecting them from school;
- please do not stop your car in the middle of the street and call your child out onto the busy street to get in the car.
- ALWAYS USE the RTA pedestrian crossing supervisor to ensure your child crosses the road safely.
- make sure your children use the footpath-side door when getting in and out of the car.
- teach your child to STOP! LOOK! LISTEN! THINK! when crossing the road.
Please pass these safety messages on to anyone else who collects your child.
